By creating an account or using buildinpublic.now (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
buildinpublic.now is a software-as-a-service product that connects to your GitHub repositories, reads commit metadata and diff summaries, and uses AI to generate draft social media posts. You review and approve each post before it is published to connected platforms such as X (Twitter).
The Service does not read raw source code — only commit messages, file names, and diff summaries you choose to expose through the GitHub Webhooks API.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@buildinpublic.now if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion.
You agree not to:
GitHub. You connect your GitHub account via webhooks. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to expose commit data from any repository you connect. buildinpublic.now is not affiliated with GitHub.
X / Twitter. Posts are published via the X API under your connected account. You remain solely responsible for content published to X and must comply with X’s Terms of Service and Automation Rules.
OpenAI. We use OpenAI’s API to generate draft content. Generated content may not always be accurate or appropriate — you must review all drafts before approving them.
Paid plans are billed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
You retain ownership of all content you create, including AI-generated drafts you approve and publish. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your commit data and generate drafts solely to provide the Service.
We do not claim ownership of your repositories, commit history, or published posts.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publishing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, buildinpublic.now and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.
